Making Menus

From Shopbot Wiki

You can create a "Pseudo-menu" using the PRINT command to create a table of options in the message window so that the operator can read them, and then get their selection using the INPUT command.

PRINT "Cutting options"
PRINT
PRINT "1) LEFT SIDE"
PRINT "2) RIGHT SIDE"
PRINT "3) TOP"
PRINT "4) BOTTOM"
PRINT "5) SHELF"
PRINT "6) DIVIDER"
PRINT "7) Quit"
INPUT "Look at the list in the message box and type your choice...1-7" &mychoice

Here's what the menu will look like:

and how the INPUT statement that goes with it would appear to the operator:

NOTE: The message window can be moved around and resized the way you want it and it's new location and size will be remembered.
